ROANOKE, Va. -

Hundreds braved the rain and chilly temperatures Saturday morning for a great cause.

Downtown Roanoke was the site of this year's Jingle Bell Run.  It's one of the largest holiday 5K races.

Money raised from the race will go toward the Arthritis Foundation.  Arthritis is the country's leading cause of disability.

Today's event brought in $70,792.
