Large crowds expected for Bedford's annual "Centerfest"
Organizers expect more than 15,000 people to show up for Saturday's event
Bedford is gearing up to host one of the state's largest annual street festivals.
"Centerfest" is Saturday. Rides, food vendors, artists, and more will line the streets of Centertown Bedford.
Music will play on four different stages, and for the first time there will be a food court and beer garden.
Organizers are expecting more than 15,000 people to show up for this year's event.
"We have whole areas for kids," said Sue Montgomery, director of Bedford Main Street and organizer of Centerfest. "We have a section just for arts and crafts, and the entire downtown is just loaded with vendors."
Centerfest runs from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Admission is free, but there is a charge for rides, games, and food.
Bridge, Main, and Depot Streets will close at 6 a.m. to setup for the event.
