More than eight thousand people are coming to Lynchburg for a special new year's celebration.
Winterfest kicks off Monday at the Liberty University Vines Center.
For two days teens and their parents will see concerts and hear from speakers that include members of the "Duck Dynasty" family.
It's mainly a way for Liberty to recruit future students, but the events are open to everyone.
The extra visitors provide a year-end boost for the Lynchburg economy.
"The economic benefit is huge, because these people are coming from many different areas and they are going to pour money into each and every hotel," said Matthew Hockensmith, special events coordinator for Liberty University.
Monday's events are sold out, but there are a few tickets remaining for Tuesday's shows.
