Hunting with certain guns is now allowed inside the town of Bedford.
Council members voted 4 to 2 Tuesday to expand the town's hunting ordinance.
Shotguns, muzzle loading rifles, and firearms of .23-calliber or less can now be used.
No bullets can be fired within 100 yards of buildings, streets, alleys, sidewalks, schools, parks, or other public places.
Bedford has allowed hunters to use a bow and arrow since last year.
Areas of the town that were annexed during the recent reversion are not subject to the hunting ordinance.
