LYNCHBURG, Va. -

Budget cuts may force Lynchburg leaders to pull back resources at two community centers.

To keep those facilities open, Lynchburg Parks and Recreation is seeking help from non-profits.

The Center for Racial Unity has offered to operate the College Hill Community Center.

A committee made up of city employees and stakeholders will review the proposal.

City leaders are also thinking about closing a center at either Daniel's Hill or Jefferson Park.

Proposals to operate those facilities will only be accepted if a decision is made to close the centers.
