VINTON, Va. -

An area garage has a history of helping others, and Sunday was no different.

Richard Henegar owns Quality Auto Paint and Body in Roanoke.

You may remember our coverage of his appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" for stepping up to help a bullied, Radford University student.

Sunday, at the car show at Vinton's Dogwood Festival, he and his team unveiled a newly outfitted van for the Roanoke Rescue Mission.

It comes complete with a new sound system, paint job and lots of other features.

The van will be used for many things including transporting young people who need the mission's help

Henegar says it's all about brightening the lives of those in need.

"I want to take their minds away from their daily lives and the struggles they're unfortunately put through and hopefully it will help."

Students from the Botetourt Technical Education Center did all the paint and body work.
