One of Hollywood's most successful celebrity couples is promoting their latest project in Lynchburg.

Mark Burnett and Roma Downey are visiting the Hill City Monday to screen "Son of God," a film that depicts the life and crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Burnett is best known as the creator and executive producer of popular reality shows like Survivor.  Downey acheived fame as "Monica" on the hit CBS show Touched by an Angel.

Speaking at Liberty University Monday morning, Burnett and Downey called themselves "Hollywood's noisiest Christians."

"I'm sure a lot of people wish we would say less about our love of Jesus Christ in Hollywood, but we have a job to do," Burnett said.  "We have a big platform in what we do for a living, so we have a chance to say a lot about the love of Jesus."

A trailer and several clips from "Son of God" were played for LU students at the convocation service.  Burnett and Downey asked the audience to spread the word about their project, which is set to debut in theaters at the end of February.

The couple will screen their new movie during a private showing Monday afternoon at River Ridge Mall.
