Martin Luther King Jr.’s niece will speak at Roanoke College next week as part of Black History Month.
Alveda King will speak in the Bast Center at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 10. Admission is free.
King will talk about the civil rights movement, and the right to life for all members of society.
King is a pastoral associate and director of the African-American Outreach for Priests for Live and Gospel Ministries. She formerly served in the state of Georgia’s House of Representatives. King is also an author.
