ROANOKE, Va. -

Timothy Wellons, accused of causing the deadly truck crash and fire on Interstate 581 last month is facing more charges.

Two truck drivers, one from Salem, were killed after police say Wellons was swerving and driving drunk.

Investigators suspect he was drinking on the job.

Today a grand jury upgraded the two manslaughter charges to aggravated involuntary manslaughter.

He's also charged with DWI.

We learned Monday that Wellons is also charged with assault and battery on a nurse at Roanoke Memorial.

He was taken there after the crash.
