NELSON CO., Va. -

A Nelson County woman now faces murder and arson charges for a string of fires.

Linda Blackwell was indicted Tuesday. Prosecutors say she set three fires at homes on Creekview Lane between 2009 and this year.

James Shelton Sr. was hurt in a fire on Aug. 2, 2009, and later died. Blackwell was indicted on a felony murder charge for the deadly fire.

Blackwell was also indicted on charges of arson and obtaining money on false pretenses for two more house fires at the same property on Creekview Lane. One of the fires was in February 2012, and the other was in May 2013.

Blackwell is being held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail. An advisement hearing in Nelson County Circuit Court has not been scheduled yet.
