ROANOKE,Va. -

In just a few days, you'll see a new bus stop shelter at the corner of Salem Avenue and 13th Street. The artist is working with the Hurt Park neighborhood association.

This is not the first project of its kind. There are similar bus stop shelters at Patrick Henry and William Fleming High schools. Those involve in the project say the shelter brings a little something extra to the neighborhood.

"It's great for the community not only do they get a buys shelter where they can be protected from the weather while they wait for the bus. They can get an original work of art as well," said Roanoke Arts and Cultural Coordinator Susan Jennings.

The construction started today and will finish up tomorrow. It ends with a dedication ceremony on Saturday.
