The Virginia Tech Police Department is investigating three rape allegations.

One of the incidents allegedly happened earlier this week. The other reports occurred in March, according to the school’s police department.

The most recent allegation was made Wednesday at the Sigma Kappa Sorority house on Oak Lane. The two other instances happened on March 10 and March 22 at the West Ambler Johnston on-campus dorm.

WDBJ7 asked a few students how they felt about campus safety.

"I feel safe the dorms are all locked. You have a key to get in the dorm rooms. It's a matter of where you are at night time, are you being smart," said Virginia Tech student Devin Armstrong.

In an email, Virginia Tech said it "takes all allegations of sexual assault very seriously."
