The final numbers are in and 2014 was a success for the Salem Fair.

Salem Civic Center officials report attendance was the highest in fair history as more than 340,000 people traveled down the 14-acre midway from July 2nd through Sunday.

July 4th attendance was bigger than any other Independence Day in the history of the fair.

"One of our food vendors sold 250 turkey legs on the 4th of July and sold all the turkey legs he had. So all the food vendors were happy they had a great run, just outstanding from all aspects," says Salem Fair Manager Carey Harveycutter

Carnival operators will go next to Madison County, Virginia.
