Investigators say Timmy Hager shot his wife, and then killed himself

SALEM, Va. -

The Salem Police Department has released the names of two people who died in a murder-suicide Thursday.

Investigators say 55-year-old Timmy Hager shot his wife, Bonnie, and then killed himself. Bonnie Hager, 51, died at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Timmy Hager was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of Ferrum Drive.


Police say a man and a woman are dead after a shooting on Ferrum Drive near Baier Drive.

Officers got the call at 4:38pm Thursday.

They found the man dead inside the home.

The woman was alive when they found her, but she died later at the hospital.

Police say no one else was involved in the shooting.

Investigators aren't releasing the names of the victims until families are notified.


One person is dead and another was injured after a shooting in the City of Salem on Thursday.

The person was dead when officers arrived at the scene. Another person was taken to the hospital. The incident happened on Ferrum Drive.

Investigators are not looking for any suspects at this time.
