ROANOKE, Va. -

Six people were treated for smoke inhalation after a fire at Maple Leaf Bakery in Roanoke on Tuesday morning.

The fire caused around $50,000 in equipment damage, and another $25,000 in lost production time. Six of the seven production lines are back up and running.

The fire was called in around 4:50 a.m. the fire started in the insulation of a large bread baking oven. No one was taken to the hospital.

Mable Leaf Bakery is in the 1900 block of Blue Hills Drive. The bakery is valued at around $1.5 million, according to Roanoke Fire-EMS.

It's not clear yet what started the fire.
