A pajama parade is taking place on Saturday, May 3rd, in the historic section of downtown Roanoke.

Participants will march through the the streets wearing nothing more than their pajamas, and it's all to raise awareness to the number of children who are homeless in the city.

For anyone who wants to take part, all they have to do is print out a special '566' sign and wear it on their pajamas. It's to represent the 566 children who stayed at the Rescue Mission last year.

This year’s parade coincides with the both the Strawberry Festival and Cinco de Mayo Festival.
