ROANOKE, Va. -

The City of Roanoke's annual street paving program is
scheduled to continue on Monday, Sept. 30. Traffic delays should be
expected in the following areas:

 Salem Avenue: 5th Street to 13th Street -  Adams Construction is
scheduled to begin paving operations along Salem Avenue on Monday and
will continue all week.  All side streets between 5th and 13th
Streets will also be impacted for the duration of the week.

 Brandon Avenue: Edgewood/Mudlick Roads to Salem City Limits -
Lanford Brothers is scheduled to begin milling operations from Salem
City Limits eastbound on Monday and will continue all week.  All side
street connections will be impacted.

 Villa Heights Neighborhood: Sawyer Paving is scheduled to begin
paving operations on Clifton Street, Crescent Street, Massachusetts,
and New York Avenue.  Multiple streets within the Villa Heights
Neighborhood will be impacted during the week as the above streets
are repaved.

 Williamson Road: Elm Avenue to Campbell Avenue - Lanford Brothers
may begin milling operations along Williamson Road on Friday or the
following Monday with many downtown streets being impacted including
Elm Avenue, Franklin Road, and Tazewell Avenue.

 Campbell Avenue: 1st Street to 2nd Street - Lanford Brothers may
also begin milling operations along Campbell Avenue on Friday or the
following Monday.

Lanford Brothers, Adams Construction, and/or Sawyer Paving will be
responsible for their own traffic control in their respective areas.
