The gloomy, sometimes rainy weather didn't keep people from showing off their pink pride.
It was for the annual Pink Parade at Valley View Mall.
Saturday, the parade started outside the Panera near the mall and then made its way inside.
The event encourages people to put their best foot forward, and if was pink, well, that's even better!
The procession celebrates the lives of survivors and remembers those touched by breast cancer.
"Today is the positive pink parade and party. It's our 5th annual parade and party that we've had out here at the Valley View area. It started off walking down Jefferson Street with a red wagon and a boom box to raise awareness and now we're here for the Every Woman's Life Program," explains Catherine Hagan-Aylor, a Breast Nurse Specialist.
Every Woman's Life is a program that provides free mammograms to low-income, uninsured and underinsured women in the Roanoke Valley.
