You may have heard the saying: "Hope for the best and prepare for the worst."
People in Craig County took that to heart Saturday, as the Craig County Business Association hosted a "preppers" festival in New Castle.
The idea is for people to be prepared for disasters of any kind and educate them on their options.
"After our Derecho wind storm a few years ago, everyone should realize the need to be prepared not for the apocalypse, but for any emergency that we happen to encounter," explains Adam Gentry, Chairman Craig County Business Association.
In addition to the music, food and fun- there were vendors with rainwater storage units, information on solar power and long term food storage options.
