A local hospital is partnering with emergency workers to see how ready they are to handle a radioactive disaster.

A decontamination tent will be set up on Thursday, May 15th at Lewis-Gale Hospital Pulaski.

More than one-hundred people are involved in this training exercise including doctors, ambulance crews, and firefighters.

Red Cross is taking part to make sure that in case of such emergencies, people and medical workers in our area are prepared and ready to know just what to do.

At one in the afternoon at the hospital, workers with the Red Cross invite you to come to their presentation.

They'll give you and your family tips for being prepared for all sorts of disasters.
