LYNCHBURG, Va. -

School's out for the summer, but the learning continues for some kids in Lynchburg.

Randolph College is hosting its annual Science Camp at the Jubilee Center.  It's hosted by Randolph professors and students.

Each day instructors teach students about a different area of science, including physics, chemistry and biology.

Organizers hope the camp will inspire these kids to take up a new interest.

"Our goal is to get students more interested in science," said Amanda Rumore, a Biology instructor at Randolph.  "This gives them an opportunity to learn some science over the summer, when they're out of school."

This is the tenth year for the camp.  It's part of a teacher's institute at Randolph, where elementary and middle school instructors are learning how to teach science using hands on methods.
