ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. -

It's almost time for kids to start singing, "no more pencils, no more books".

With just a couple of weeks left to go for most students, it's time to start thinking about where kids will spend their summer.

Splash Valley at the Green Ridge Recreation Center  in Roanoke County opens this Saturday.

It's just one of several summer camp destinations that Roanoke County Parks and Recreation is offering.

There are dozens of camp options, including traditional overnight camps, along with day camps that are convenient for working parents.

New this year are some athletic camps designed to keep kids physically active during their summer break.

Camps are available for kids ages 3 to 17.

Registration is available online.
