ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. -

An apartment complex remains closed Wednesday afternoon after a tree crashed into it overnight.

Crews were removing parts of the tree that was inside a Bent Creek apartment bedroom on Wednesday morning.

Neighbors say a man living inside had just left the room when the tree fell.

They say the storm didn't last long, but was very strong.

Apartment management blocked off the building, and told everyone to leave until it's safe to enter.

A nearby complex is allowing people to move in until it re- opens.
