Roanoke County Police tell WDBJ7's Frankie Jupiter that the name of the man they arrested for Sunday's shooting is Eddie Mullins.
Mullins, 18, was taken into custody by officers from the U.S. Marshals outside of a home on 8th Street in the City of Roanoke. Mullins was arrested without incident. He's accused of shooting a person early Sunday morning in the 3900 block of Flint Road in Roanoke County.
He has been charged with malicious wounding and using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Investigators have not released the victim's name.
WDBJ7 has just gotten new information into the newsroom about a malicious wounding incident on Flint Road, just past Hanging Rock in Roanoke County.
Roanoke County Police tell Your Hometown News Leader that a party was held last night at a home on Flint Road, where an altercation occurred.
The victim, who was involved in the altercation, left the home and started to drive away. Shots were fired into the car, hitting the victim.
The condition of the man is unknown at this time, according to police.
Police detained five people from inside the home. No arrests have been made.

Roanoke County Police are investigating a malicious wounding incident on Flint Road, that's just past Hanging Rock.
They received a call around 3-30 this morning.
