ROANOKE CO., Va. -

At a budget meeting Tuesday night, school leaders in Roanoke County announced they won’t outsource transportation.

The county received nine proposals from private companies.

Officials say none of those proposals lowered the county's bottom line for the future in its transportation budget.

School leaders still expressed concern about an anticipated multi-million dollar deficit in the transportation budget in the coming years, but will look for other ways to fix it instead of outsourcing.
