Fire investigators announced Friday that a fire that destroyed a vacant house was intentionally set.  The fire happened October 30 in the 3100 block of Courtland Road.

Fire officials ask anyone with information to call the Roanoke Fire Marshal's office at  540-853-2795.


Firefighters are getting ready to leave the scene of this fire.

No one got hurt while putting out the flames. The house is destroyed, but it was vacant.

Crews are on scene of a fire in the 3100 block of Courtland Rd. Roanoke
Fire- EMS received the call around 1:20am. Heavy fire was found and a
defensive attack was made and firefighters worked to protect houses in
close proximity. The fire engulfed the house and was through the roof. By
2am things began to be under control. The house was vacant. Cause is under investigation.


Roanoke firefighters are battling a house fire at 3118 Courtland Road.

The fire started just before 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
