A Roanoke man is set to make his national debut on the popular game show, Jeopardy.

Douglas Beeler says one of the items on his mom's bucket list was for him to be a contestant on the show. He went online and took the test; to his surprise he got a phone call from the show asking him to fly out to Los Angeles.

“Nothing prepared you for being up there and hearing your name being announced; seeing the lights come on and having Alex come out and introduce you,” said Contestant Douglas Beeler.

To see Beeler in action, tune in Saturday at 7:30 on WDBJ7.
