Roanoke Police are looking for a man who was involved in an attempted robbery Monday afternoon.

Police are searching for Deoncoe Turner, age 19, of Roanoke.

At about 4:30 p.m., authorities were dispatched to a shots fired call in the 2700 block of Glengary Avenue NW when another call came in about a man with a gunshot wound in the 2900 block of Salem Turnpike NW.

Rasheed Moorman, 20, of Roanoke, was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment.

As the investigation continued, police found both cases were related. Moorman and another suspect, believed to be Turner, visited a residence in the 2700 block of Glengary Avenue earlier that day and went back in an attempt to rob the occupants, according to police.

One of the victims of the attempted robbery was armed with a gun and fired one shot at Moorman.

Moorman and the other suspect ran from the scene.

After being released from the hospital, Moorman was arrested and taken to the Roanoke City Jail.

Police are still looking for Turner. Anyone with information on his whereabouts are asked to call the Roanoke Valley Crime Line at 540-344-8500.
