Roanoke reduces carbon emissions and energy use
The city of Roanoke has improved over the last seven years when it comes gas emissions and energy used.
A report found that the city lowered emissions from buildings, lights and fleet vehicles by 15%. And there's been nearly $600,000 in savings on energy costs over the seven year time period.
Future sustainability actions for the city could involve hybrid and all electric vehicles and additional improvements in lightning efficiency.
