Roanoke residents continue to dig out from flood waters
Crews cleared first round of debris
Five-days after being evacuated from their homes, a Roanoke neighborhood is starting to return to normal.
Trucks from the city of Roanoke were picking up debris piled in yards.
Those piles consisted of toys, drywall, clothes - you name it, all of it soaking wet.
People in the Meadowbrook Road neighborhood off of Peters Creek Road, dealt flood waters late Wednesday night.
Many continue to clean extensively damaged basements and battle with insurance companies.
When it was all said and done- it took 3-trucks to haul away this first round of debris.
