Wiley Drive in Roanoke will be closed to drivers Wednesday and Thursday for deck repairs.
The greenway will remain open, according to the City of Roanoke.
The area was damaged by flooding earlier in July.
Here is the news release from the City of Roanoke:
Due to flooding from July storms, Lanford Brothers was not able to work on the downstream Wiley Drive Bridge deck repairs as planned. The city has rescheduled that work for this Wednesday, July 31, and Thursday, Aug. 1.
Wiley Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic in order to perform the work, however the greenway will remain open. In addition to the previous flood damage to the deck on the downstream Wiley Low Water Bridge, Lanford Brothers will also be repairing the damaged curb on the upstream Wiley Bridge.
