LYNCHBURG, Va. -

Former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will be the featured speaker at Liberty University’s convocation on Dec. 4.

Palin visited Liberty University in 2011. She will be introduced by school president Jerry Falwell Jr.

“While Governor Palin has visited Liberty's campus in the past, she has never appeared at a Liberty event,” Falwell Jr. wrote in a news release. “I am thrilled she will soon see why this university brings such hope to America. At Billy Graham's 95th birthday party she and I spoke of our mutual anticipation for her upcoming visit.”

Palin’s new book, “Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas,” is a New York Times best-seller.
