According to CBS affiliate WTVR, two people arrested during the investigation into the disappearance and death of Waynesboro police reserve captain Kevin Quick now face new charges.

Shantai and Mercadies Shelton were in court in Lousia County on Monday.

Prosecutors haven't charged Shantai in Quick's disappearance at this point.

On Monday we learned they're accusing her of poisoning an elderly man she lived with to steal money and a gun last year.

Now prosecutors say someone picked Shantai up in Louisa County using Kevin Quick's stolen S-U-V.

They say a gang was planning to get her to Montana.

Four other people are accused of gang related activity in connection to the Quick case.

Her sister Mercadies is charged with stealing Quick's S-U-V.

She now faces charges in an armed robbery that involved Quick's car on Super Bowl Sunday.

Quick went missing more than a week ago.

Investigators found his body several days later in Goochland Conuty.
