VINTON, Va. -

Winter weather didn't drive away the hundreds who turned out for the annual Senior Expo in Vinton.

This is the fourth year the Chamber of Commerce has hosted the event.

People of all ages, not just seniors, made their way to the Vinton War Memorial to check out vendors, see demonstrations and learn more about about the latest technology.

According to the Administration on Aging, seniors are one of the fastest growing segments of the population.

"That's why we do this to let people know what's out there and what kind of options they have and even for the younger people who have aging parents to let them know what kind of options they have out there as well," explains Angie Chewning with the Vinton Chamber of Commerce.

More than 70-vendors were on hand Tuesday.

Organizers say vendors have already signed on for next year.
