ROANOKE, Va. -

Does your kid like to sew, or is just really into crafts?

Rising fourth graders through high school students can put those skills to good use at a unique summer camp happening next month in Roanoke that'll also benefit the Ronald McDonald House.

The American Sewing Guild is hosting the camp.

Kids don't have to be experts at sewing, or even know how to thread a needle to take part.

Campers will make lounge pants to learn about fit and construction.

They'll also make a decorative bag, sew pillowcases and dye silk.

The pillowcases will then be donated to the Ronald McDonald House as part of a service project.

Camp costs $100.00 for American Sewing Guild members and $125.00 for non-members.

Registration is due July 1st. Click here for registration information..
