Saturday, August 2nd, the Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre at Liberty University celebrated its 5th anniversary.

There was something for everyone, as people who arrived to partake in the festivities were treated to activities that included unlimited tubing, skiing, and snowboarding for visitors, as well as activities for young children inside of the Barrick-Falwell Lodge.

It was a celebration of a unique service that the Snowflex Centre has been able to provide since 2009 as the first synthetic ski slope in North America.

It was also for a good cause.

Admission for guests was the donation of a new backpack, or a lunch box, filled with school supplies.

The Liberty Ski and Snowboard team will give those supplies to needy students in Lynchburg City Schools.
