ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY -

Old man winter must not have gotten the memo that spring is here. Several inches of snow fell in Rockbridge County.

“The robins were out this morning. I think they were very confused,” said traveler Tammy Moore.

Confused as to what season it is. With only a few days until April, the mountains are covered in snow.

“It was very shocking. Wasn't expecting it, so I wore flip flops, expecting 50, 60 degree weather today,” said Moore.

Moore says she likes the snow; she just wasn't expecting several inches. She says during her drive she never switched into 4 wheel drive, thinking her commute would be snowless. Before she knew it, she was swerving.

Snow plows were out clearing the roads and an electric repair truck needed some saving after getting stuck.

“For the most part it's beautiful, I love the snow,” said Moore.
