ROANOKE, Va. -

Virginia's tax-free holiday weekend starts Friday, August 2nd and ends Sunday, August 4th.

From now until Sunday you won't have to pay sales tax on most clothes and school supplies.

There are two major guidelines.

Any article of clothing you buy must be less than a hundred dollars or else it won't be tax free.

The same goes for school supplies over 20 dollars.

Some interesting things that are tax free that you might not expect, art supplies, diapers, costumes, fur coats, lingerie, and wedding dresses.
