Teen faces multiple charges in connection with Radford break in
Incident happened on Thursday, but suspect was charged Saturday
On Thursday, November 14, 2013 at approximately 9 pm, officers of the Radford City Police Department responded to a 911 call about a breaking and entering that was occurring at the 1300 Block of Downey Street in the City of Radford.
Upon arrival officers made contact with an 18 year old male who was yelling and breaking items at the residence.
The subject immediately became combative with the responding officers and had to be forcefully restrained.
Officers from Radford City Police and Radford University Police struggled with the subject and deployed tasers to get him under control.
Residents of the apartment stated the subject broke into the apartment and attacked them and their K-9 pet.
The male was identified as John David Shobe IV, age 18.
One female victim was transported to the New River Valley Medical center for a broken arm.
Shobe was also transported to the NRVMC and released on 11/16/13.
He was immediately taken to the New River Valley Regional Jail where he was held on a $3,000 secured bond.

18.2-57 Assault and Batter female victim X 2
18.2-137 Destruction of Property X 3
18.2-460 Impede Law Enforcement
3.2-6570 Cruelty to Animals
18.2-479.1 Prevent Law Enforcement from Arrest
Possession of Marijuana
