CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. -

Eastern Montgomery High School Future Business Leaders of America students welcomed the community today to raise awareness about Autism Saturday.

It was an entire afternoon of fun in the pool at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.

There were activities and games for all ages as people came together to support children with Autism.

Organizers made a splash with their involvement and say giving back to the community is important.

"Autism is a great cause and it's close to a lot of people's hearts especially the families. The families are just so supportive and FBLA is really excited to be a part of that," Lindsay Cole told Your Hometown News Leader.

Over half of the proceeds from today's event will go to Autism Speaks, an organization dedicated to autism research.
