ROANOKE, Va. -

The American Culinary Federation (ACF) is an organization in Southwest Virginia and its mission is to fight childhood hunger, malnutrition, and obesity.

Every week, the ACF is inside Roanoke city schools educating students about proper eating habits, portion control, and how to use your favorite foods in healthy ways.

The ACF also focuses on education and scholarship opportunities with culinary students.

The Chocolate Festival kicks off at Hotel Roanoke on Sunday, March 16th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Before the festival starts, folks can get in on education demos from the chocolate experts starting at 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The festival will have 24 different booths from 24 different chefs to learn and taste from.
