FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. -

The Franklin County Perinatal and Education Center (FCPEC) will have an open house on Saturday, August 24th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 335 South Main Street in Rocky Mount.

A ribbon cutting will take place at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate the end of renovations.

The FCPEC is a non-profit organization providing childbirth and reproductive health programs in Franklin, Patrick and Henry Counties in Virginia.

The Perinatal Education Center also provides free child safety seats and products.

There is a small fee for some of our classes, but no one is turned away because of inability to pay.

Programs include prepared childbirth, infant CPR and safety, breastfeeding, infant care, safety seat installation, grand parenting, sibling preparation, growing girls, teen pregnancy outreach, support group for children and their caretakers.
