The teens involved in an accident in Tennessee over the weekend were members of the Covington High School basketball team. They were in Tennessee for a tournament.

According to investigators, a 73-year-old pulled out in front of a car driven by Yvonne Hall outside of Knoxville. The 73-year-old , Virginia Allison, was killed in the accident, according to WVLT in Knoxville.

18-year-old Bailey Hall and 16-year-old Kiesha Beard, who's also known as Kiesha Forbes, were passengers.

The group was on its way to one of the last games of the tournament.

All three of them are now at the UT Medical Center.

Bailey's dad, Sheriff Kevin Hall, says the three have varying injuries and Bailey was scheduled for surgery on Sunday.

Covington's principal, Robert McClintic, tells WDBJ7 the game was postponed, and other students athletes collected donations for the Covington residents.

He says those students even visited the hospital to show support.

Kiesha Beard is now listed in critical condition.

Yvonne Hall is in serious condition.

Bailey Hall is listed in stable condition.


We're working to get more information about an accident in Knoxville, Tennessee that injured three people from Covington.

TV station WATE says the three were involved in a two car crash that killed the other driver.
47 year old Yvonne Hall and 16 year old Kiesha Beard - both of Covington - were airlifted to the hospital.  18 year old Bailey Hall was also rushed to the hospital for injuries.

Police say the two teens were not wearing seat belts.

Investigators say a van pulled out in front of the three women and they couldn't get out of the way in time.
