ROANOKE, Va. -

A fire in Roanoke on Tuesday night caused $50,000 in damage.

Three people were inside of the home in the 1000 block of Rockland Avenue when the fire broke out. All three people got out safely.

It took firefighters an hour to put out the fire.

The fire started in a bedroom and was contained to the building.

The American Red Cross is helping the displaced residents.
