ROANOKE, Va. -

Sentencing for the man who caused a deadly accident on Interstate 581 in Roanoke has been continued.

Timothy Wellons was scheduled to be sentenced Wednesday. His sentencing has been pushed back to Jan. 27. It's not clear why his sentencing was delayed.

Two tractor-trailer drivers died in the July wreck.

In September he pleaded no contest to two counts of aggravated involuntary manslaughter, one count of assault, and one count of DUI

Investigators say Wellons was driving drunk when he hit an 18-wheeler which caused it to cross the median and slam into another truck.

Both truck drivers died when their rigs exploded.
