Tuesday, April 15th is the last day to file your 2013 federal tax return.
To avoid penalties, either file your tax return by April 15th, pay what you owe by April 15th, or file an extension by April 15th.
If you think you owe the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), you must send what you owe by midnight on April 15th, even if you have filed an extension.
If you can't afford to pay the entire amount that you owe the IRS, tax preparer David Kembel with Kembel Tax Service suggests paying as much as you can and request a payment plan for the balance.
