ROANOKE, Va. -

A fire caused damage to two homes on Courtland Road in Roanoke on Sunday night.

The 911 Center received a call about the fire at 3100 Courtland Road at 10:32 p.m.

When crews arrived, there were heavy flames on the side of the home. Sixteen firefighters responded and were able to control the fire by 10:49 p.m. One of the neighboring homes was also damaged by the flames.

There was no one inside the house when the fire started, and no injuries were reported.

About $65,000 in damages are estimated.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
