LYNCHBURG, Va. -

Two men were sent to the hospital for treatment after a shooting in a Lynchburg apartment complex Tuesday.

According to a news release, officers and detectives responded to the Meadows Apartments at 2315 Yorktown Avenue around 2:27 a.m. Tuesday after receiving a report of malicious wounding.

When officers arrived, two 21-year-old men with gunshot wounds were found. One was in a breezeway and the other was in an apartment.

Both victims were taken to Lynchburg General Hospital for treatment and are in stable condition as of Tuesday afternoon.

At this time, police are looking for a possible suspect. There is no information about the motivation for the shooting and the investigation is ongoing.
