ROANOKE, Va. -

Virginia State Police are asking for the public’s help looking for a man who broke into a Department of Environmental Quality vehicle in Roanoke.

The break-in happened around 10:40 p.m. on July 23 in the DEQ parking lot at 3019 Peters Creek Road.

The suspect used what appears to be a cinder block to smash out the car’s window, and then jumped through the window. Click here to watch surveillance video of the break-in.

According to Virginia State Police, the suspect was looking to steal a state inspection sticker.
