Virginia Tech donates $20,000 in tickets for Saturday's game to veterans
Military Family Support Center in Salem gave tickets to vets and families
It's no secret that Virginia Tech Football's sellout streak ended this season.
The school is not letting those tickets go to waste.
We learned today the school donated 400 tickets worth about $20,000 to veterans and their families.
We caught up with some excited veterans picking up their tickets today.
The Military Family Support Center says the tickets have been going quick, the original plan was to receive 200 tickets.
"We had given away every single ticket within the first afternoon so we called up Virginia Tech again and said do you have any more, so they gave us 200 more," said Thomas Summerlin with the Support Center.
Tech takes on Marshall on Saturday, kickoff is at 12:30 in Blacksburg.
